KitBash3D’s Mission to Minerva has come to its grand finale, with an overwhelming response from the creative community. The challenge brought together more than 32,000 artists from 174 countries, who showcased their talent and pushed the boundaries of what is possible with a unifying mission: Build a Galaxy!
To support the mission, KitBash3D provided afree Mission to Minerva Kit, free basic training tutorials in Unreal and Blender with it’s 3D assets, prizes from Wacom, Nvidia, ArtStation, The Gnomon Workshop, CG Spectrum, and of course, KitBash3D.
Works were judged based on the incorporation of theme, render quality, creativity and storytelling by an amazing industry panel from ILM, Riot Games, CD Projekt Red, Netflix, and even NASA. All encouraged the community to expand their imaginations and come together to create fantastic worlds. Check out the In-Motion highlight reel here!
The submissions in concept art and animation inspired everything from icy terrains, to underwater worlds, cartoon scapes to an array of undiscovered planets. Thousands of amazing stories were told throughout the challenge!
