2023 聖誕前夕,在大雪紛飛的溫哥華,世界上第一台用「薑餅」製成的拍立得相機誕生了!
用於接合縫隙的雪白糖霜,以及四面都被薑餅所覆蓋的機身,讓整部相機充滿聖誕氣息,而以糖果鑲嵌的鏡頭,不僅為整體設計注入一股童趣,其朦朧多彩的拍攝成像也別具特色,創意打造出「邊拍邊吃」的新奇體驗。

世上第一台薑餅相機的誕生!
原來,這部令人耳目一新,甚至垂涎欲滴的薑餅相機,是出自攝影部落格 Analog.Cafe 的經營者 Dmitri Tcherbadji 之手。
為了做出足夠堅固、不易碎的薑餅, Dmitri Tcherbadji 以特製配方親手烘烤麵糰,並在鏡頭處特別挖空,鑲上具有玻璃般透射性的糖果,再透過糖霜加以點綴、組合薑餅與其他攝影元件,經過反覆的測試與實驗後,世界上第一台薑餅相機終於成形。

針對薑餅相機的特殊設計,Dmitri Tcherbadji 坦言,其實薑餅、糖果、糖霜等媒材,並不是用來製作相機的理想媒材,用糖果製成的鏡頭,甚至可能是有史以來性能最差的攝影元件之一,因為它的解析度相對粗糙、影像也十分模糊,不過,打造一部「可食用」的相機這件事,卻讓所有負面的技術缺陷都有了正面的積極詮釋。
Dmitri Tcherbadji 進一步解釋,糖果鏡頭的媒材特性,為拍攝成像染上了復古懷舊的色彩,而薑餅相機拍出的模糊照片,也成為了他與朋友、客人們茶餘飯後的小遊戲,他們試圖在一片朦朧中辨識照片中的人事物,意外為攝影體驗增添了幾分趣味與互動性。

最終,Dmitri Tcherbadji 也分享道,其實可食用相機並不是個全新的點子,曾有藝術家以南瓜、鳳梨、水梨、起司等更具顛覆性的媒材製作相機,不過,這部薑餅相機仍然無庸置疑地將這類特殊的攝影技術推向另一層次,它的快速與即時性十分適合用於室內攝影(在寒冷的冬日裏尤其需要),不只是拍攝的成像,連相機本身也別有一番「風味」,以手工製作獨有的溫度,相當應景地為聖誕時節注入一股浪漫可愛的暖流。
